My name is Jane Ulness. I survived the 1970s as a single mother with double digit inflation, no raises in three years, and spasmodic child support at best. My rent went from 145.00 to 285,00. I decided that I needed to learn every trick I could to cut my food bill. I used every medium I knew to learn all I could. After things were better, I continued to learn . My daughter teaches pre school and was hearing mothers that needed to stretch their food dollars. My blog was started to help people that needed to stretch the budget. It has evolved to smart grocery shopping and efficiently scratch cooking to avoid dinners in a preservative laced box or bag. I have been published in Woman’s Day Magazine and Taste of Home.
